The registration for NEET UG 2025 began on 07th February, 2025. As per the official website:

The last date for registration and application submission  is 7th March, 2025, until 11.50 PM. The NEET 2025 exam has also been scheduled for May 4, 2025. 

This is a highly anticipated moment for all aspiring candidates, as the NTA has officially opened the registration for NEET UG 2025.

NEET is one of the most crucial examinations and serves as the first step for medical aspirants toward a career in the medical profession.

Step-by-Step Guide to Filling the NEET 2025 Application Form

Filling out the NEET UG 2025 application form correctly is important to avoid errors that might lead to rejection of your form. To ensure a smooth registration process, follow this detailed and elaborative step-by-step guide.

Before You Begin To Fill The Form:

Before you begin the registration it is highly recommended to keep the following documents and details ready:

Personal Information: Full Name, Date of Birth, Parent’s Name, Nationality, and Address. 

Academic Details: Class 10, 11, and 12 mark sheets (or equivalent certificates).

Identity Proof: Aadhaar card, Passport, Voter ID, or any other valid government ID.

Scanned Documents (as per specifications):

  • Passport-size Photograph (JPG format, 10 KB – 200 KB)
  • Scanned Signature (JPG format, 4 KB – 30 KB)
  • Left and Right Thumb Impressions (JPG format, 10 KB – 200 KB)
  • Category Certificate (if applicable) for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates.
  • PwBD Certificate (if applicable) for physically disabled candidates.

Step 1: Register on the Official Website

  • Visit the Official Website:

Open a web browser (Preferably Google Chrome). Go to the official NTA NEET UG 2025 website.

  • Click on “New Registration”

On the homepage, look for the “New Registration” option and click on it.

  • Read All Instructions Carefully

A set of important instructions and guidelines will be displayed on the website. Candidates are advised to read them thoroughly to understand eligibility criteria, document requirements, and registration rules. Once you’ve gone through all the instructions, check the box confirming that you have understood the instructions and proceed.

  • Enter Your Personal Details

Enter your Full Name (As per official records), along with your Father’s & Mother’s Name, Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY format), Gender (Male/Female/Other)

Add your Nationality, Category (General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS), PwBD Status if you have any benchmark disability, select “Yes” under the PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) section.

  • Provide Contact Information

Mobile Number & Email ID (make sure these are active, since all official communication details will be sent to you on this number). Providing an alternate mobile number is optional.

  •  Provide Address Details

Type in your complete residential address with correct PIN code.

  • Create Login Credentials

Choose a strong password for your account. Also select a security question and a answer for the same. This will be useful for password recovery.

  • Verify Details & Submit

Make sure to double-check all the details entered. Click on “Submit & Proceed” to complete the registration.

Step 2: Fill in the NEET 2025 Application Form

After registration, log in using the credentials (Application Number & Password) to fill out the form.

  • Personal Information

Re-enter your basic details, ensuring accuracy. Provide additional details like place of birth, mother tongue, and state of domicile.

  • Educational Qualification Details

Enter Class 10, 11, and 12 (or equivalent) details:

Board Name (CBSE, ICSE, State Board, etc.)

School Name & Address

Year of Passing

Marks Obtained (Subject-wise)

Percentage/Grade

  • Selection of Examination Centers

In order of preference, you need to select three exam centers. Choose centers that are convenient and accessible for you. Consider travel time and distance from your residence. Avoid last-minute travel stress by choosing nearby centers.

Step 3: Upload Required Documents

  • Academic Documents Upload: Keep your Class 10, 11, and 12 mark sheets scanned and ready for upload.
  • Upload Passport-Size Photograph: Candidates also need to upload their scanned photograph (Size: 10KB- 200KB) and signature in JPG format. The photo must be recent, colored, and with a white background. Kindly Avoid blurry or unclear images.

While uploading the signature (Size: 4KB- 30KB), ensure that you sign on a white paper with a black or blue pen. Ensure that your signature is clear and not pixelated. Also upload thumb impressions, both left and right thumb impressions must be uploaded. (Size: 10 KB – 200 KB). Kindly use black or blue ink for clear prints. Candidates should ensure that the impressions are not smudged or faded while uploading.

Step 4: Reviewing your form and Payment

  • Review Your Application Form: Candidates are advised to double-check all the entered information and uploaded documents. Make sure there are no spelling errors or incorrect details.
  • Pay the Application Fee: Once you have reviewed all information, select your payment method (Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI). Complete the payment transaction securely. If any error occurs, wait for till the next day, to get a confirmation from your bank.
  • Download and Print Confirmation Page: After successful submission, download the confirmation receipt. Keep a printed copy for future reference.
